As you noticed, you have a limited set of options. Honestly, I wish all of the Conjure spells were gone entirely as they weren't implemented well at all. However, I understand that players like seeing bigger numbers so in that respect if seems like its a failure.ģe was hell with all of the various summon monster spells. I was hoping this spell would be a bit cooler, but everything cool is at CR 11.ĥe has actually done a good job (from a balance/DM perspective) to keep you from summoning a ton of stuff. Can I cast Minor and regular conjure after a planer binding again or does the first dissipate back to its plane. I guess my question is really just what is the point of being able to cast it at CRs 9, 8, and 7 if there's literally nothing to summon? My DM hates anything homebrew or not 5e so any 3.5 adapted paraelementals are out.Īlso can someone show me what the ruling is on how many elementals I can have summoned at one time, with planer binding that is. The Duhr seems really lackluster (basically the earth elemental with roll attack). Xorn is cool I guess with treasure sense, but that's really it. Unless I'm mistaken it seems this spell's higher level spell casting does jack shit apart from 2 more monsters at CR 6 Xorn and Galeb Duhr.
